The Birth Of The "Male Child" (Rev. 12:5)

THE BIRTH OF THE "MALE CHILD" -- A GLORIOUS EVENT AHEAD

Revelation 12:1-5 says,

"And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon was beneath her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars, and she was pregnant. And she cries out in her pains and in her agony to give birth.

"And another sign was seen in heaven, and, look! a great fiery-colored dragon, and with seven heads and ten horns and upon its heads seven diadems; and its tail drags a third of the stars of heaven, and it hurled them down to the earth. And the dragon kept standing before the woman who was about to give birth, that, when she did give birth, it might devour her child.

"And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was caught away to God and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days."

What a glorious event for us is foretold centuries ago, in the "Birth of the Male Child". Of course, these events, like so many others of the book of Revelation, have been a great mystery that has baffled mankind for oh, so long.

Actually, these events have to do with modern day "Israel" of Bible Prophecy. As described above, Jehovah's Witnesses are modern day "Israel" of bible prophecy, whether the prophecy is favorable or unfavorable. And the book of Revelation, is a compilation of all of the words of the "prophets of old," who prophesied about modern day Israel's fate, in these last days of our times. -- Acts 3:24; Revelation 10:7; 22:6

So let's take a closer look at some of these events, as we fully realize for the very first time, how they actually pertain to modern day "Israel" of our times, yes Jehovah's Witnesses as an international family of people, and thereby get a fascinating glimpse of the future...our future as God's Name People.

First, we notice the "woman" mentioned in Revelation 12th chapter, is see in vision to be in great "agony", great "pains," because she is about to give "birth" to someone, or something shall we say, that will ultimately "shepherd ALL the nations with an iron rod." This, of course, would automatically make the "child" born from her, Satan's chief enemy, since Satan definitely wants to maintain control of the earth, using these very same "nations" that receive the "iron-rod-shepherding" from God...namely destruction. So this "birth" then, does not make Satan happy at all.

Next, we see the "child" is "caught away" to heaven. But, why is not the "woman" also "caught away" to heaven," like her "child"? And why does she need to be "nourished" at all in the "wilderness"? Afterall, didn't she exist in "heavenly glory" prior to this attack by Satan? Revelation 12:1 reveals this.

Then too, we see at the time of the birth, Satan wanted to swallow up or "devour" the child. Meaning, vicious Satan had access to do this. Again, perhaps could this birth be, an earthly birth? If the "woman" can be understood to be earthly who gives birth, then perhaps the "child" is too. Thus, Satan is revealed to launch an unexpected attack upon an earthly entity, that is "born" from within the earthly "woman." A "child" that caused the "woman" much "agony" and "pain", while being formed in the belly of the "woman." -- Revelation 12:2

So, Satan sees what is happening, sees the "agony" and "pain" the child is causing invariably, while within its mother, in her "pregnancy." And he does not like this coming "birth" one bit, since he knows fully what this means for him, namely, his "time is short." Therefore, he immediately wishes to "devour" the child before it can do any good for humanity. Therefore this "birth", is quite CRITICAL. To be sure, it seems we have reached a very critical state in mankind's affairs. I time, when things are really desperate, showing we today, must know as much as possible, about such a coming "birth" that causes such distress to all humanity. We can say this, because AFTER the "child's" birth, the bible says these horrendous conditions will regrettably prevail, namely,

"...woe to the earth and to the sea, for the Devil has come down TO YOU [earth and sea], having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time." -- Revelation 12:12

Yes, Satan knows, after this "birth," if this should occur, and this "child" should make it to "heaven" and to "God's Thone," then he knows without a doubt, he has lost the fight. He knows they, the "child" have fully "conquered" him. He knows, his time left to rule the earth, is greatly reduced, very "short" for himself and his demons. Satan, KNOWS all of this. -- Revelation 12:12

Therefore, AFTER the critical "birth," Satan has "great anger." And that means, understandably, yes, great "woes", the bible says, will follow that most momentous birth! Great trouble, great "woes" will follow that gloriously, wonderful event...the birth of God's "kingdom"! Great "Woes" should be expected to follow, like unusually Great War and worldwide discord, Great Pestilence, Great Famine, Great Earthquakes in many different places just as Jesus described...yes, we can fully expect the devastating "ride" of the "4 Horsemen" of the Apocalypse, with "Hades" following close behind! -- Matthew 24:7-13; Revelation 6:1-8; 12:10

So the Devil inevitably attacks. He must attack. In fact, he actually has no choice but to attack, as he tries to swallow up the all-important "birth" of the "child" who is meant to help all humanity and "rule all the nations" in righteousness for Jehovah God. So, we can understand that this is THE critical point, in all of human history before all humanity. The "birth" of the "child", the birth of God's Kingdom that rules "all the nations.". But wait! The Devil was not successful. Amazingly, Jehovah God did not permit it.

Then, in a great rage, knowing his "time is short", Satan next tries to "drown" the "woman" OUT OF DESPERATION, after she gives birth, expressing "great wrath" toward her, for giving "birth" to this mysterious "child" that is "caught away" to God in heaven. He uses a "river from his mouth" to do away with her, completely. But, this malicious action on his part proves unsuccessful again.

After that, with great and continued rage and "wrath," the "dragon" [Satan] goes off to "wage war with the remaining ones of her seed, who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness to Jesus." -- Revelation 12:15, 17

Yes, the "remaining ones" who are also the "seed" of the earthly "woman" are enemies of Satan. So, the Dragon must fight them too. Therefore, as we might expect, even after the initial "birth" of the child which is "caught away" to God in heaven, we see even more individuals opposing Satan. Individuals who were also considered the "seed of the woman." These individuals, who are just like the original "child" that caused ohh, so much "pain" and "agony" for the wilderness-bound "woman", that originally opposed Satan in the beginning.

In review, we see Revelation 12:5 shows the "woman" has given birth to a "child" in whom God has mercifully elevated, out of the reach of Satan, and "caught away" to the "throne of God" in heaven. He has the future prospects to rule, and shepherd "all the nations", even destroying them. The "child" then, must be some form of government, from God, that originated from an earthly setting, where the "woman" is. Perhaps, an earthly organization, from which the "child" is born. Like the "stone" that was "cut out" without human hands from a "mountain", which grows and grows, and one day forms a huge governmental "mountain" for God itself, that crushes all governments in opposition. -- Daniel 2:34, 35, 44, 45; Isaiah 2:2-4; Daniel 11:45;

This "Male Child" government, then, becomes an integral part of the "2-Kingdom Concept", presently unknown to Jehovah's Witnesses, since the Watchtower Society, as "Babylon the Great," has long taught them the misnomer that the "kingdom of God" only exists one dimensionally, namely as a "heavenly" government ONLY. Yes, we know the Watchtower Society has long taught Jehovah's Witnesses that God's Kingdom in the heavens will exist WITHOUT an EARTHLY SEAT or visible expression of that same said Grand Heavenly Government. They have taught God's Kingdom does not literally "come to earth," as a viable, functioning "government" upon earth, with an established ruler. But we remember, Jesus did teach his disciples to pray,

"let your kingdom come, let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth." -- Matthew 6:10

GOD'S KINGDOM GOVERNMENT COMES UPON EARTH

So, what do those words actually mean, we must ask? Actually, it means God's Kingdom or Government, as it exists in the heavens, WILL COME upon earth, too. In other words, it is Jehovah God's distinct Will, His Initial desire yes to have an EARTHLY Government existing here on earth, too...complete with an EARTHLY KING! Yes, that was God's ORIGINAL wish, to namely have an eartly "king" to rule that earthly government. The designated one by God, who would be the long foretold "Heir of David," who was first given this promise. He also becomes, the "seed" of Abraham. The "seed" of "Eve." The "Heir" of God, the designated "son of God," upon earth, who would have "subjects from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth." -- Genesis 3:15; 22:18; 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Psalms 72:7-9; Psalms 89:25-29; Zechariah 9:10

But, the Watchtower Society has taught that this is not the case at all. And that the earth will not have an EARTHLY ruler, but that Jesus Christ, as the rightful "Heir of David" rules the earth from heaven. But, what the WTS and Jehovah's Witnesses don't realize about that situation, is that the promise made to King David of his "heir" ruling, actually REQUIRES this rulesrhip to be exercised FROM EARTH. Yes, its inherent within the promise itself. Yes, as Orthodox Jews have been saying for centuries...yes, it is a promise of an earthly "ruler,"wherein the "heir" actually rules from earth, as mankind's "firstborn," over all the "kings of the earth." -- 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Psalms 72; Psalms 89:27; Micah 5:4; Zechariah 9:10

In fact God's Word does say of this future ruler,

"And on the sea I have put his hand. And on the rivers his right hand. He himself calls out to me, You are my Father, My God, and the Rock of my salvation. Also, I myself shall PLACE HIM AS FIRSTBORN. The most high of the kings of the earth. To time indefinite I shall preserve my loving-kindness toward him. And my covenant will be faithful to him. And I shall certainly set up his seed forever and his throne as the days of heaven." -- Psalms 89:25-29

Yes, this person is "PLACED" or "appointed" to such a position, by God Himself, as "FIRSTBORN." Ask yourself, Jesus is "firstborn" in the heavens...so why would God need to "place him" or "appoint him", as some translations say, as "firstborn", when Jesus already has that right, NATURALLY! But this one, must be "placed" as firstborn...why?

And also we notice, he must rule from the earth, FOREVER MORE, to completely fulfill all of God's promises to King David. This is just an unavoidable fact. However, we certainly know, that Jesus Christ, certainly wants to continue to live in the heavens, since when he was on earth, he made request to his heavenly father, to have the "glory" he had before the world existed," a heavenly glory, greater "glory" than could possibly be comprehended by any man upon earth...and not any mere earthly "glory: that some man would attain to. No, but we realize today, Jesus' actual "glory" in the heavens is second only to Jehovah's Great Glory. So why would Glorious Jesus Christ, aspire to some earthly "glory", as the ruler of mankind's kingdom? A glory meant for man, a glory that no doubt would have been given to Adam himself, a man, if he had been faithful to God.

Yes, Adam, as mankind's "FIRSTBORN," would have the natural right to such a earthly position before men, and then would logically have become mankind's Patriachal Head of all of Earth's inhabitants, if he had proven faithful. Yes, Adam, would have become the "most high" upon the earth, as a man, above any "kings" that ruled under him, since he was actually born "first", from God, as God's Son. His earthly Son. So as we can see, this earthly "glory," simply would not have any appeal to Jesus Christ whatsoever, who now resides in Heavenly Glory, even long before mankind existed. This is something Jesus Christ does not want at all, this Davidic Earthly Rulership, on a "forever" more basis, as called for in the original promise. -- Luke 1:32, 33; John 17:5

But oh yes, the bible does say, that Jesus Christ is the "last Adam," does it not? -- 1 Corinthians 15:45

So how do you answer that?

Well, this way. Since Jesus Christ fulfilled the Mosiac Law perfectly, and became the rightful "heir" of David because of keeping that same Law of God, then JESUS CHRIST IS THE LAST ADAM, the "Heir" of David by Right. He earned it. And this of course means, no one could TAKE THAT PRIVILEGE AWAY FROM HIM, RIGHTFULLY!

This privilege BELONGS to Jesus Christ. Therefore, for anyone to get it, rightfully in God's eyes, why Jesus would have to "GIVE IT AWAY", give it away, just as he said he would do. -- John 16:14, 15

So then, I will tell you a "sacred secret" today...Jesus then, as the rightful "heir" of David (because of fulfilling the Mosiac Law perfectly) had made previous arrangements with Jehovah God to then, appropriately GIVE AWAY this Davidic RIGHT to rule the earth.

"That one will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine [Davidic Right] and will declare it to you. All the things that the Father has [on earth and in heaven] are mine. That is why [why, as in "I got everything anyway"] I said he receives from what is mine and declares it to you."

In other words, Jesus is saying, I can really afford to be generous here...I own everything, so if I decide to "give away" this promised Davidic rule to a human [the Spirit of Truth] ...so what? I'm still the boss of everything anyway, since my father has given all things under my control. Remember, I helped create mankind and all the things you see today...I am the "Firstborn of all Creation," and not the "firstborn" of the earth, says Jesus. -- Colossians 1:15-19.

So much to Jesus' credit, and with mankind's everlasting admiration for him, yes Jesus, as Jehovah would wish for Him [certainly Jehovah does not want to be separated FOREVER from His Most Dear Son in this way, we must understand this], appropriately "gives" this Davidic Rule away, gave it up, to the "Spirit of Truth", who in turn, will "DECLARE IT" to all mankind, for all generations...forever...Praise Jah!!!

Yes, Jesus gives it away. Jesus "gives what is mine..." away. Jesus "gives what is his," his right to rule earth, to someone who will "declare it" to the nations of this world! Yes, the "Spirit of Truth," who will "declare" what Jesus willingly "gives away," just as Jesus promised, to all mankind, and will "guide them into ALL TRUTH," and even "declare the things coming," as in the future...the contents of the book of Revelation. That distinct privilege automatically goes to the one Jesus designated, as the one he sent, the one Jehovah God sent, the "Spirit of Truth". (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13) Jesus "gives" his right to rule earth, gives it away to someone, some person, some man, who was born from "Eve," her "seed", just as Jehovah said originally in the Garden of Eden to Satan! -- Genesis 3:15; Psalms 89:27; Luke 1:32, 33; John 16:14, 15; John 17:5

So, Jehovah and Jesus had already, made this secret "pact" between themselves. But it was a "sacred secret." (Romans 16:25-27) Yes, they both knew what they were going to do, to remedy this Satanic "situation" that Adam and Eve willingly, had gotten themselves into, sinking the WHOLE HUMAN RACE into utter chaos, total discord, total enmity with God and up to that time, unheard of alienation from God, down, down into the grasp of "imperfection", "sin" and "death." The whole human family, in one quick swipe. Now, what could remedy such a "bedarkened" situation, we must ask.

Only Jehovah, the one who is "WISE ALONE," could remedy such a situation. (Romans 16:27) And with the help and assistance of his dependable, closest associate, Jesus Christ...they had the "solution." Yes, God had the answer, one that Satan could not thwart, namely because he wouldn't understand exactly how Jehovah would solve it, in the first place. In fact, no one knew, until Jehovah God revealed it.

So then, it was Jehovah's Intended Purpose, Original Purpose for mankind to have an earthly ruler. One that through the "blood of Jesus", when applied to this earthly man, could like Adam, finally be fully "justified" before God, considered completely sinless, guiltless before God and man...just as first century christians were made at Pentecost, rendered "sinless" -- before God took all of them to heaven, in 70 c.e., mysteriously. (That "sacred secret" explanation comes a little later, as we progress along, my friends.) -- Matthew 12:7; Acts 13:38, 39; Romans 5:18

Yes, Jehovah had the answer back in the Garden of Eden, and Jesus assisted Him in carrying out this "hidden" purpose, this Great Sacred Secret. Yes, Jehovah and Jesus had the answer, the solution, thankfully! -- Romans 16:27

Thus, we are beginning to see, the REAL plan, the real purpose in store for mankind...the real "mystery" of God...revealed! An earthly "king," an earthly "Christ" or "Anointed" one, with an "earthly" government, that unique concept, held deep within the Mind and Magnificent Purpose of Almighty Jehovah God, and his wonderously faithful, only begotten Son, Jesus Christ! -- See Revelation 10:7; Revelation 11:15; Revelation 12:10

So, as you can see, the Watchtower Society, as fallen "Babylon The Great," then does not even have a clue, as to what Jehovah God's ORIGINAL PURPOSE was for mankind, as mentioned in Genesis 3:15. No, in fact no one knew, not Satan nor his demons, not any angel in heaven, and certainly not any man upon earth! It was truly a "sacred secret" that ONLY Jehovah God and his beloved Son actually knew about. And it was only to be revealed to the one that would "declare it," as Jesus said. The one that must "conquer," the "Spirit of Truth." -- John 16:13-15; Revelation 5:1-5; 6:1, 2

And, as time goes on, we will also learn in the future, that this incorrect viewpoint or concept of God's Truly Mysterious "kingdom" governmental arrangement, the "2-Kingdom" Concept itself, would prove as Jesus himself said to be in the end, a "sacred secret" that has not commonly been understood by mankind for untold centuries of times. (Mark 4:11) And in addition to this, that God Almighty has taken certain steps too, to insure, to completely insure, that this unique "understanding" of His hidden Kingdom Concept, as revealed by the "prophets" of old and as revealed within the pages of the book of Revelation, shall not be correctly understood by no one, yes, until the one who "CONQUERS", obtains it, and rides off on the "white horse," as it were, as "VICTOR," and then assists others to "conquer" too, for the glory of Almighty Jehovah God. -- Please compare Revelation 5:1-5 with Revelation 6:1-2.

So someone, some person, has to "conquer" fully before God, in order to "reveal" the contents of such a fabulous, "sacred secret" tightly held within the hands of Almighty Jehovah God. And that someone is known as the "Spirit of Truth", the one Jesus "gives" that Davidic Right to! -- John 16:13-15; Revelation 5:1-5; Revelation 6:1, 2

Psalms 89:29 mentions this newly installed earthly "Davidic Ruler" as having a secondary "seed". It says,

"And I shall certainly set up HIS SEED forever and his throne as the days of heaven."

Who is this "seed" of the newly installed Davidic Ruler, the "Spirit of Truth" of John 16:13-15?

IDENTIFYING THE SECONDARY "SEED" OF THE DAVIDIC HEIR

Well, Revelation 12:11 says of this "seed" of David, these EARTHLY "Davidic kingdom heirs" of the future, the "Male Child" that is born of the "woman" [Jehovah's Witnesses as a people, as "Israel"]:

"And they conquered him [Satan] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death."

Yes, these "Davidic Heirs" of the Kingdom, these God-Selected Jehovah's Witnesses...they "witnessed" for God. They spoke about truth from God. And this action upon their parts, even to the point were they would become martyrs for the cause, this unique action helped them fully "conquer" Satan, in God's eye sight. Next we see, they were brave and fearless. Willing to face "death". No doubt, this willingness to face "death," contributed to the great "agony" the "woman" suffered, before the "child" was birthed to be on its own, away from the "woman." Thus, the "child", the earthly child, would have to show bravery and courage, on their parts, to fully "conquer" Satan. The one who "accuses them night and day" of being really unfaithful to Jehovah God, since he argued they would, in the end, be UNWILLING to become "martyrs" for Truth. He argued that they were really not christ-like, martyr-like, but actually "cowards" at heart, something that Jehovah and Jesus would detest immensely. -- Revelation 12:10; Revelation 21:8

And of course, they were willing to wash their robes "in the blood of the Lamb". As Revelation 22:14 says,

"Happy are those who wash their robes, that the authority to go to the trees of life may be theirs and that they may gain entrance into the city by its gates."

Yes, they are willing to "wash their robes", to cleanse them completely from sin, in order to gain assess and "entrance" to the "city" of God, "by its gates." They fully recognized that they needed this "cleansing" before God, to become fully acceptable by Him. They realized, they they had been "born" from a sinful situation, where they needed more spiritual cleansing from God. They really needed the "blood of the Lamb".

In doing these three (3) things, they were deemed to have fully "conquered" Satan, and appropriately were given the unique access into "heaven" with Jehovah, with additionally the inestimatable future prospects of receiving rulership from Jehovah God to rule "all the nations."

They, as the "Male Child", are now ready to taken their rightful place within the magnificent "kingdom of the Son of Man," spoken of in the book of Daniel 7th chapter. Yes, after being "caught away" to heaven, they the newly born "Male Child" have now become a part of what Revelation 12:10 says,

"And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers [Male Child] has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!"

Yes, after this miraculous "birth" and being "caught away" from the grasp of Satan, this "Male Child" Group of Jehovah's Witnesses, has been enabled by God to successfully escape "Babylon The Great," the WTS, that completely wicked entity and enemy of God. They have now fully escaped and have been "caught away" to heaven, by way of learning the "sacred secrets of the kingdom". Yes, this heightened "knowledge", called ep-ig-no-sis [translated "accurate knowledge" in NWT]. It is a elevated form of "knowledge", more exact, more precise. Thus, the "Male Child", using this special "knowledge," this "super" [ epi ] knowledge [ gnosis ], can then be "caught away" or elevated to the heights of figurative "Heaven," in God's Presence. This then becomes, the actual means by which the "Male Child" is "caught up" [ harpazo ] to heaven in God's sight. It is by means of this "super" knowledge, as it were, this untold knowledge, this knowledge of "sacred secrets," which in effect raises them to previously unknown, unexperienced heights of understanding, spiritually speaking. Yes exactly the same as when the Modern Day "Servant" first learned theses special "truths," from God Almighty Himself, Jehovah. -- 2 Corinthians 12:2-4

So then, the "Male Child," does not have to go to heaven, litterally, to be elevated to this position of special favor before Jehovah. They can be "caught up" to heaven by way of this special "super" knowledge, accurate knowledge of things. And in so doing, the "Male Child" could be elevated to new heights, to the "heavens" even, just as it was spoken of first century christians, who Paul said, were "seated in heavenly places" already, while on earth. -- Ephesians 2:6

So the "Male Child" does not need to literally "go to heaven," in order to be exalted to "heavenly" glory before God. No, but they can stay right here on earth, and be exalted, to become the "founding" members of that same "kingdom" government establishment, where rulership will be expressed, from the earth forevermore. So then, the "Male Child" stays on earth, as the "seed" of the Heir of David. They become the first, from among God's "seed" that wages war on earth, with the wicked serpent, that old "dragon," called Satan the Devil. And even after them, following their example, others, yes other brave Jehovah's Witnesses, will follow suit too, as members of the "seed" to battle Satan. But, these are born AFTER, the "Male Child." Other Jehovah's Witnesses will bravely fight that old wicked entity, "Babylon the Great," as a continuation of that "seed" from the "womanly" Jehovah's Witness family-organization. -- Isaiah 66:5-9; Micah 5:3; Revelation 6:9-11; Revelation 12:5, 9, 17

Yes, the "Male Child," can now be rightly said to be made into in fact a "kingdom" for God's Glory, a government, yes "God's Kingdom", where the righteous "authority of his Christ", God's Newly Appointed Chosen One, prevails, all to God's Glory forever more. The one God "Chose," the "Chosen One," the Modern Day "Servant", "Shiloh," who comes in the "final part of the days" -- God's Chieftain, who is the only human allowed to "eat bread" [or interpret God's Word] in His Holy Presence. -- Genesis 49:1, 10; Isaiah 42:1-9; Isaiah 49:1-9; Isaiah 50:4-11; Jeremiah 23:5, 6; Jeremiah 30: 8, 9, 21, 22; Jeremiah 33:15, 16; Ezekiel 34:23, 24; Ezekiel 37:24-28; Ezekiel 44:1-3
