The Book of Revelation
The word ‘revelation’ (apokalupsis) means to take the cover off. It is highly symbolic and deals with future events that would not occur during the writer’s day. It was written by the Apostle John before 70 CE probably only a few years before the destruction of the Jewish system of things by the Romans, although most scholars think it was later. There is wide disagreement among scholars about what the prophecies in this book have reference to. We of the YORWW Congregation believe that they will have their fulfillment upon God’s name people today so are strictly modern-day prophecies.
