Yesterday was a big deal for this area because they merged a lot of congregations into our circuit. Our assembly is usually 350 people now it was about 790 in a small building lol.
3 people got baptized.
Two of them were about 13 years old who were raised in the truth
and the other person was like 70 years old.
The religion no longer attracts "normal" people.
I wouldn’t be so certain about them lasting a long time. Only two 13 year olds and a 70 year old were baptized. Not a lot of born ins to fill in as the next generation.
The drop out rate used to be 2/3rds. That means each couple would have to have 6 kids just to replace them. And who has that much money in this economy? Especially if the couple had been following that no college thinking?
The older ones are dying off.
